Mobile by Design
Unlike fixed-location tours, every evening is planned around the night’s conditions, allowing us to pursue clearer skies and stronger displays whenever possible.
Guided by a Photographer
Benefit from years of aurora-chasing experience and practical photography guidance designed to help you return home with images you’re proud to share.

Two Ways to Pursue the
Northern Lights
Choose a shared pursuit with no more than five guests, or reserve the entire evening for your own private experience.
Every pursuit includes photographic guidance, crafted portraits, seamless transportation, and an itinerary shaped by the night’s best conditions.

ROAD TO THE PURSUIT
3,200 kilometres.
36 hours behind the wheel.
Twice every year.
From the badlands of Drumheller to the shores of Great Slave Lake.
Because the best aurora experiences aren’t found.
They’re pursued.

THE PURSUIT OF LIGHT
The aurora only reveals itself in complete darkness. The further you go from comfort, crowds, and artificial light, the more extraordinary the sky becomes.
This is the philosophy behind our entire expedition. We do not park at crowded viewing camps and hope the sky ignites. The North does not perform on schedule. But those who pursue it relentlessly, expertly, and without compromise are rewarded with something most people only dream about.
We drive deep into the boreal forest, navigating the micro-climates of the sub-arctic, to find the exact intersection of absolute darkness and illuminated skies.
THIS ISN'T JUST A VIEWING - IT'S A PURSUIT CHASING LIGHT AND CRAFTING MOMENTS.

The Aurora Pursuit respectfully acknowledges that our expeditions take place on Chief Drygeese Territory. Since time immemorial, it has been the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation and, more recently, the homeland of the North Slave Métis. We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich this remarkable place. We are grateful to experience these northern landscapes and skies, honoring the Indigenous Peoples whose stewardship and connection to this land continue today.
